I have been living in Dublin for many years & practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture in the past 5 years. Although I enjoy city living I know that along with it’s benefits, it can also compromise your health. I recognise that the stress & strains of modern city living can almost always add to minor ailments and make them more complicated. In my treatment strategy I look at the complete person & picture and tailor make a treatment plan to suit the individual, taking into account the physical & emotional as well as major & minor symptoms of the imbalance, where necessary or applicable, advise on diet & Yoga to compliment.
The earliest written record of acupuncture is found in the Huangdi Neijing translated as, The Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon dated approximately 200 BCE. The practice of acupuncture expanded out of China into the areas now part of Japan, Korea and Taiwan, diverging from the narrower theory and practice of mainland TCM in the process.
