Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient but sophisticated medicine with a holistic approach to health preservation.   In accordance with Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, we possess a system of energy in our bodies called Qi (pronounced chee & is translated as Ki in Japan & Prana in India). This Qi flows throughout the body in specific pathways called meridians, patients are diagnosed and treated in relation to this energy. Irregular Qi flow or blockages results in imbalances in the organs of the body e.g. in the Heart or Lungs, this often leads to disease, disharmony, and pain. Acupuncture works on balancing this energy so that when Qi flow is restored, the healing process begins. The clinically researched treatment protocols used are safe, with little or no side effects.
